Abstract
Subjects : We tried to analysis dermatosurgical prescriptions including 477 WonBang(êªÛ°) prescriptions for SangJungHaTong(ß¾ñéù»÷Ö) introduced by HwangDoYeon(üÜÔ³æÐ).

Methods : Prescriptions in BangYakHapPyun(Û°å·ùêøº) is generally categorized into SangTong(ß¾÷Ö), JungTong(ñé÷Ö), HaTong(ù»÷Ö) which are called PoJe(ÜÍð¥), HwaJe(ûúð¥), KongJe(Ííð¥) respectively. This study classified and analyzed major diseases and symptoms appeared in dermatosurgical prescription and composition of medicine, as well as in BangYakHapPyun(Û°å·ùêøº).

Results and conclusions : The results of examining dermatosurgical prescriptions in WonBang(êªÛ°) of SangJungHaTong(ß¾ñéù»÷Ö) in BangYakHapPyun(Û°å·ùêøº) are as follows; 1. The proportion of dematosurgical prescriptions was SangTong(ß¾÷Ö) $\frac{10}{126}$ ¼ö½Ä À̹ÌÁö(7.9$\%$ ¼ö½Ä À̹ÌÁö). JungTong(ñé÷Ö) $\frac{22}{181}$ ¼ö½Ä À̹ÌÁö(12.1$\%$ ¼ö½Ä À̹ÌÁö), and HaTong(ù»÷Ö) $\frac{16}{163}$ ¼ö½Ä À̹ÌÁö(9.8$\%$ ¼ö½Ä À̹ÌÁö), which means that JungTong(ñé÷Ö)(HwaJe ûúð¥) takes up relatively the largest portion. 2. As for SangTong(ß¾÷Ö), upper level herbs used in medicine are Glycyrrhiza uralensis(Êöõ®), Paeonia japonica(ÛÜíËå·), Angelica gigas(Ó×Ïý). Astragalus membranaceus(Ȳ±â). Ginseng(ìÑ߸), Poria cocos(º¹·É), Atractylodis macrocephalae rhizoma(ÛÜõô). Cinnamon(ë¿Ìý), Rehmaniniae radix preparat(æðò¢üÜ). And these herbs are the components of Sipjundaebo-tang(ä¨îïÓÞÜÍ÷·), one of the most well-known medicine for weak energy and blood(ÜÍѨúì). 3. As for JungTong(ñé÷Ö), in addition to medicine for weak energy and blood. Ledebouriella seseloides(ÛÁù¦) that removes ill elements on skin surface and Pung(ù¦) called "wind". Limonium tetragonum(ÑÐÌÛ) that eliminates discharges and sputum, Angelica dahurica(ÛÜòº) that removes discharge and suppress tumor are applied. Other herbs are Ostericum koreanum(˶üÀ). Skullcap(Ȳ·É),Schizonepeta tenuifolia(ûªËÎ), Aurantii fructus(ò¢ÊÃ), Cimicifuga heracleifolia(ã®Ø«), Bupleurum falcatum(ãÃû×), Lonicerae flos(ÐÝëÞü£). These herbs are more effective for wind-calming treatment. cooling down fever, clearing skin irritation, detoxication. removal of tumor and discharge than replenishing energy and blood. 4. As for HaTong(ù»÷Ö), Angelica gigas(Ó×Ïý) and Ledebouriella seseloides(ÛÁù¦), the two major herbs for SangTong(ß¾÷Ö) and JungTong(ñé÷Ö), are mostly used. In addition, Skullcap(üÜÐÙ), Gardenia jasminoides(ö¼í), Eisenia bicyclis(ÓÞüÜ) are other major components and their key efficacy is to lower fever and KongHa(Ííù»). 5. Herbs applied for SangTong(ß¾÷Ö), JungTong(ñé÷Ö), and HaTong(ù»÷Ö) in large quantity are Glycyrrhiza uralensis(Êöõ®) that harmoniously combine different herbal elements and Poria cocos(º¹·É) that discharges humidity and watery elements out of body, removes humid and hot elements, and strengthen gastrointestinal system. Based on this, it is inferred that prescriptions for this study focus largely on treatment of humid and hot elements. In the composition of this prescription, Angelica gigas(Ó×Ïý), Paeonia japonica(ÛÜíËå·), and Cnidium officinale(ô¹Ïä) are taking up relatively large proportion, which are basic herbs for Samul-tang(ÞÌÚª÷·). Therefore, it is incurred here that the concept of "replenishing blood" bears importance in dermatosurgical treatment. 6. As for herb medicines used for more than two types of prescriptions of SangTong(ß¾÷Ö), JungTong(ñé÷Ö), and HaTong(ù»÷Ö), most of them are simultaneously used for SangTong(ß¾÷Ö) and JungTong(ñé÷Ö), or for JungTong(ñé÷Ö), and HaTong(ù»÷Ö) except for Atractylodis macrocephalae rhizoma(ÛÜõô) and Gleditsia sinensis(Á¶°¢ÀÚ). This finding implies that prescription or treatment that are simultaneously applied are replenishing and harmonizing, or harmonizing and attacking while replenishing and attacking never go together.
